DO OR DIE

The sunlight seemed like long sessions of seizures, the wind felt like strong gales that will blow her away like turning over a house of cards. The atmosphere was very heavy around her making her weigh down ten times more every second that she stood perpendicular to the ground. To a point where she was curving down and falling to the ground like a burnt strip of magnesium ribbon. The emotional roller coasters bashed against her weak heart multiple times making it weaker with each strike. Her heart wanted to break through her ribcage and jump out. She was losing energy quickly now as she trickled a drop of sweat from her forehead. She gulped once in the hope to drench her throat with nothing and licked her parched lips to regain some promising moisture although there was none. The world around was slowly getting engulfed by the darkness of panic. She could sense the warmth of others, what had she done to feel such weak inside? Nervousness shook her internally but she didn’t let her guard down. She wasn’t going to let herself down till the last moment. That’s what she knew. But now with each strike of the clock the world seemed to grow more impatient. She was now feeling the pressure that could possibly be more than carrying a huge boulder on her back. Her whole life depended on it. Everyone else’s was at stake too. There was only one target, only one chance, and only one bullet. What does she do now? Play the wild card or play the victim. Everything else seemed as important as her. What would she now do to save the covenant. At this point all she knew was that every single second that she wasted was making her feeble and making others hopeless. She couldn’t let others down but she has to save herself too. What shall she do? Subconsciously she takes a step towards what she has to face. Every breath feels heavy as if she is inhaling gallons of water through her nostrils. With every faltering step the pull of gravity increases. She is begins fighting over her own mind. What if she is wrong. There is no way to find that out which made her wish to foresee the future for a split second. Unfortunately that was not possible at the moment. Every thought made her feel hysterical.

The piece of metal shimmered on her sweaty palm. This could draw a conclusion to her uncertainty but why was she still baffled about her deed. Was she to use that piece of assistance or throw it away and wave a farewell to it and take control. Was she on the right path? Who knew? Fighting with her steady mind she placed the piece of metal, ready to strike, ready to combat. And she used her assistance. She ringed her target. And the guests shouted “Congratulations, happy life to the bride and groom!”. The bridesmaids sprinkled rose petals all over them. The shiny piece of ring lay still beautifully on the groom’s finger and reflected light upon their happy life. Alas! The girl was now officially married to a man as their wedding was drawn to a close.
